Grammy's Brittle and More!!

It all started with my grandmother (“Grammy”) in
1920, as kids we all got our special time with Grammy
about once a year to make her special Peanut Brittle,
she used the same spoon, thermometer, pan, yellow
nylon scarf around her hair, and of course the wonderful
marble slab! She did it in small batches and buttered up
her hands and a bowl of ice water then hand-pulled the
300-degree brittle with her bare hands, each batch of
brittle getting it nice and thin not thick and hard to eat!
